How to get the cheapest Ouigo tickets
- The company launches 9 euro tickets: dates, destinations and how to buy them
- Ouigo will operate trains between Murcia and Madrid from the first half of 2024
- Puente threatens to take Ouigo to the CNMC for its "unfair" low prices
Since last December 10 you can now travel on Ouigo for only 9 euros. This bargain is part of the promotion launched by the high-speed train company on October 18, the day on which the sale of tickets to travel between Madrid and Albacete, Valencia and Alicante cost less than 10 euros.
Trips had to be booked by May 31, 2024 to be eligible for the promotion. However, if you were not able to book your ticket on that day, you should know that Ouigo maintains low prices for these routes, with a minimum of 9 euros for adults and in many cases, with a daily maximum that is usually less than 20 euros.
How to book your ticket
To book a ticket with Ouigo, you can do so through their website or mobile app. The process is simple and fast: On the Ouigo main page, select the origin and destination of your trip and the date and time you prefer among the options provided by the web platform. The next thing is to select the type of ticket you want, among the three options offered by the company:
- 'Essential' ticket: The Essential ticket is the cheapest. It does not include an assigned seat, but you can bring one carry-on baggage (27 x 36 x 15 cm) and one cabin baggage (55 x 35 x 25 cm). If you want to add an additional piece of 200 cm and 30kg, you must pay 5 euros.
- 'Plus' ticket: The Plus ticket includes an assigned seat (standard or XL), hand luggage, one in the cabin and the additional 30kg piece for free. It costs 9 euros more than the 'Essential' price.
- 'Full' ticket: This ticket includes all the benefits of the 'Plus', plus access to 'premium' entertainment service, possibility of changing and time of the ticket or full refund. You can also bring 2 suitcases of additional luggage (maximum 30kg). The price is more than 17 euros above the 'Essential' price.
Once the mode preference has been selected, enter your personal information and that of the other passengers, if any, and pay for your ticket.
